Nominations Open for the 2017 Scottish Export Awards

01/08/2016- The Scottish Export Awards celebrate the achievements of those companies that have demonstrated business growth through exports and innovative ways of reaching and engaging international customers.

Awareness of the opportunities and support available for Scottish business is increasing and these awards are about recognising excellence and the achievements and export contribution of Scottish businesses. The Awards also seek to provide inspiration and encouragement for others to take forward their export potential.
To be eligible for nomination, a business must have an established operational trading base(s) in Scotland from which it conducts business and must have shown a dynamic and innovative approach to the challenges of exporting from Scotland.

The Scottish Export Award Categories for 2017 are as follows:

Ecommerce Exporter of the Year
Most Entrepreneurial Exporter of the Year
Micro Exporter of the Year (new for 2017)
Small Exporter of the Year
Large Exporter of the Year
Scottish Export Team of the Year
High Growth Market Exporter of the Year
Professional Service Adviser of the Year
Logistics Partner of the Year

The judging panel will be looking for companies to include and demonstrate:

Degree of innovation used in the company's marketing plan.
Export growth achieved and how the company sustains that growth.
Value and contribution of exporting to business expansion.
The company's overall commitment to international business.
The company's strengths and how innovative and unique those strengths are.
The key decisions taken that have made the company a successful exporter.
What new markets and new technologies have been utilised to grow the business over the last 12 months.

The final deadline for nominations for the 2017 Awards is Saturday 31 December 2016.
