It has been a busy month or so. It saw us hold a breakfast on the Independent Budget Review with Crawford Beveridge (report due for release soon) while we also organised a consultation meeting and survey to feed into the Parliamentary committee’s(economy)inquiry into Scotland’s enterprise network.
The response to this inquiry is available here which canvassed opinion from our members. Don't forget you can watch these committee meetings. Outputs from previous events are also available to download – for e.g. paper from the youth unemployment event. See here.
Looking forward we have these dates for your diary. (1) The EDAS Board Meeting and Strategy Development Day takes place on 9 November. (2) 22 November sees our joint event with SDS on skills and labour markets, which will be followed by an open social networking evening. No excuse not to turn up to at least one. Book your place now before it's too late. (3) Today is your last chance to respond to an important tourism survey.
Lastly, our online resources are awash with fresh content. The International section has new information with an upcoming event from ESEC, whilst the member parliamentary and media monitoring briefings are all available to download. Likewise, our facebook and twitter page is full of advance notification on relevant media stories. And if that wasn’t enough, expect a e-bulletin in your mail boxes very soon.
